We finally got in our gorgeous canoe! After a great deal of research, we settled on a Wenonah Minnesota 3, in a stunning turquoise Tuf-Weave they call 'Carribean'; isn't she beautiful?
The Minnesota is the only boat we came across that is actually designed for three paddlers. What this means is that it tracks wonderfully when all three of us are paddling. We've found it works best when bow and stern paddle together on one side while the middle person paddles on the other side. In rougher water and most especially high winds, different variations are ideal, such as having the stern and middle on the same side and the bow on the other, or most memorably having all three of us on the same side!
